PlanMaster for Municipal Growth

The town of Mammoth Lakes needed to present plans for future growth to the public. A team of four consultants from Facet worked with four planning staff from Mammoth Lakes over six months to build a customized PlanMaster model for Mammoth Lakes.

Facet's PlanMaster integrated solution helped the planners organize all the relationships between different policy decisions to help them and the public understand what the future might look like with different choices. Mammoth Lakes now uses PlanMaster to build realistic scenarios to manage its growth. The tool helps them:
   - Explore trade-offs between different policy options.
   - Involve and educate the public in the planning process.
   - Develop realistic plans with consensus from all parties as to the future of Mammoth Lakes.

The result is a robust tool that allows planners to very quickly explore and evaluate the consequences of different sets of policy choices in all their complexity. PlanMaster provides a complete decision support solution for the General Plan Update Process. It allows planners and stakeholders to explore the implications of decisions on:
