Filip is a Senior Lead Planner at Facet and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional with over a decade experience. Filip started his career working closely with clients at JP Morgan Chase, navigating life’s most financially impactful milestones. After, he spent time at UBS and TIAA, where he focused on holistic, comprehensive planning with high net worth families. Filip’s career objective is to bring financial literacy to everyone, everywhere. Originally from New York, he now lives on the Gulf Coast of Florida with his partner Stephanie. In their free time, they enjoy being outdoors with family – hiking, traveling, skiing and lounging at the beach.

Where's your favorite place in the world?
Bucharest, Romania. I was born in this city and immigrated to the United States when I was 4 months old. The first time I went back was when I was 30 years old. Before this, I took vacations all over the world, experiencing different cultures, values and languages. It all came full circle when I visited Bucharest, walked a busy street and heard absolutely everyone speaking my native language. Before this, I had only heard my parents and family friends speak Romanian. To me, it was an incredibly enlightening experience and therefore confirmed my birthplace was my favorite place in the world.
What is your favorite family tradition?
Eating dinner together. I think it’s important to take time out of our busy lives to decompress and share daily experiences with each other, whether they were good or bad.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you've never been, where would you go?
Iceland to see the Northern Lights with my partner Stephanie. We both enjoy spending time in nature and looking up at the sky together.
What are some of your pet peeves?
Being organized and orderly. If I enter an environment, which is messy, my first instinct is to start cleaning up.
