What's the coolest thing you're working on right now?
I’m currently working on restoring a 1918 Ford Model T. The car has been in my family for around 70 years and it was recently passed down to me to complete. My grandfather started the project in the 1950s and it was passed to several of his brothers over the years to keep the project going. I’m humbled to have the opportunity to bring the dream alive and hope to complete it by the end of the year!
Who inspires you?
My father. He’s led a life of service to our country and asks for nothing in return. Only that the people he loves the most live their best lives, and take advantage of all the opportunity that surrounds us. His life of selfless service inspires me to always do purposeful work, and find my passion in everything I do.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about helping others live their very best lives, and achieve far more than they ever dreamed. I was fortunate enough in life to be adopted by a man who had the means, education and life experience to show me a better way to live my life, and to expect more of myself. The impact this had on me changed the trajectory of my life forever, in a way I never dreamed possible. Because I know how a life can be changed when one human helps another along the path, I’m driven to seek out those opportunities and make the biggest impact I possibly can. To do for others as others once did for me. That’s my passion.
What was the best concert you ever attended?
Tom Petty! Maybe it was just because it was my senior year in high school (which was a great year!), or that I attended with the best group of friends anyone could ever hope for? I’m not sure what it was. But the energy at that concert was intense, the whole crowd was on our feet for the entire 4 hour show and total strangers all the sudden seemed like life long friends. As if we’d been there before! Whatever it was, I’ll never forget that show!
